A two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion (1976–1977) and author of the seminal poker strategy book Super/System, he revolutionized the game with his aggressive, mathematical approach. Known for his cowboy hat and fearless demeanor, Brunson dominated high-stakes cash games for over 50 years, popularizing hands like the "Doyle Brunson" (10-2, which he used to win both WSOP titles).
