These 2 Dragon Ball Z wall scrolls are completely one of a kind. They come from NIGO’s (Owner of BAPE Clothing) collection. They were acquired in a large trade. All that we really know is that they were originally created by Toei Animation specifically for NIGO and that they’re from the 1990s. The scrolls are roughly 16” x 42” and are linen and Japanese rice paper.
The first scroll shows Goku (top) and Gohan (bottom). This scroll was titled, “Father & Son”. The frame of Goku is based off of Mark 18:45 of the 128th episode, “Double Trouble for Goku”. The frame of Gohan is based off of Mark 11:02 of the 111th Dragon Ball Z episode “Fight with Piccolo”.
The second scroll, titled “Fighting Spirit”, shows fighting scenes between Krillin & Goku (top) and Ginger & Goku (bottom). The top frame of Krillin & Goku is from the 94th episode of Dragon Ball Z, “Power of the Spirit”, Mark 19:32. The bottom frame of Ginger & Goku is from Dragon Ball Z: Dead Zone, the fourth Dragon Ball film, at Mark 25:38.
