Tyrus Wong (1910–2016) was a groundbreaking Chinese-American artist, animator, and illustrator whose visionary work profoundly influenced animation, film, and fine art. He is best known as the lead artist behind Disney's Bambi (1942), where his ethereal, impressionistic style transformed the film's visual aesthetic. Beyond animation, Wong had a prolific career spanning painting, kite-making, and Hollywood production design.
